Why The New Ferrari 812 Superfast Is Worth Every Penny

The Ferrari name invokes speed, imagination, and beauty and ever since the public debut of the 812 Superfast back in March, 2017, you might want to take those elements to the 9th power.

The eye-popping supercar manufacturer announced the newest member of the family at the Geneva International Motor Show from March 9-19.

Now please do not shoot the messenger but aesthetically, the 812 Superfast looks very similar to the new Corvette Stingray, particularly the front-end (just saying). Of course, we know that it does not get its styling cues from General Motors but rather from the F12 Berlinetta which it replaced.

With that said the new Ferrari 812 is more than a handsome face and a few crunches away from its predecessor. The 812 Superfast is Ferrari’s fastest and most powerful production car ever!

At the development stage, Ferrari’s engineers set themselves the goal of exceeding the specific power output of the F12berlinetta’s V12.

Under the hood the car is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 that outputs about 789 horsepower at an absurdly high 8,500 rpm and 525 pound-feet of torque at 7,000 rpm; although, 80 percent of its torque is available at just 3,500 rpm.

Additionally, a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission improves and cranks shift performance and times faster than you can say Rosso Settanta.

The Ferrari 812 Superfast has a more aggressive look and stance. There are also several other notable changes, for example, the headlights, taillights, and grille. The exterior’s performance was enhanced with all around improved aerodynamics; such as redesigned ducts, channels, and vents that manipulate air and downforce.

The cabin has been radically redesigned to imbue it with an even sportier character. Light, compact volumes hug the contours of the interior structures to the extent that the latter are visible in certain areas.

The craftsmanship on the interior has also been restyled with new leather seats, red stitching and perforated armrest all while sporting updated controls and instrumentation.

So far we do not know the spectrum of future colors that will be available but we do know the Ferrari 812 Superfast will be available in a new Rosso Settanta shade of red, which will celebrate Ferrari’s 70th anniversary.

Don’t forget to sell a few pieces of property or to hit the brinks truck on your way to the Ferrari dealership this year because this car cannot be leased for $299 per month. The new Ferrari 812 starts at about $338,000 and from the looks of things it is worth every penny.
