Russell Simmons Creates A #NotMe Campaign In The Wake Of Rape Allegations

Russell Simmons is one of the men accused of sexual assault among other political and influential figures recently and he is desperately trying to prove his innocence.

He has since stepped down from his businesses and in the wake of the latest accusation, he has done a polygraph test which according to his lawyers he has passed.

He isn’t stopping there however! On Instagram, he announced that he is starting a #NOTME campaign for men who might be also wrongly accused.

via TMZ:

TMZ obtained this image of Simmons taking the polygraph Wednesday in the L.A. area. Russell’s camp says it was administered by a national leader in the field of polygraphing. We’re told he was asked a series of questions about the allegations made by Khalighi.

According to Simmons’ attorneys, Michael Sterling and E. Carlos Tanner, Simmons passed with flying colors, and plans to repeat the test for allegations made by 4 other women. They say Russell will release all the results once he’s completed the tests.

Russell has also created a #NotMe campaign to further assert his innocence and invites any of his accusers to take a polygraph test as well.
